Social Media Content for Univision’s Leading Entertainment News Show.

Since May 2024, I’ve been editing social media content for El Gordo y la Flaca, Univision’s top-rated entertainment news show hosted by Raúl “El Gordo” de Molina and Lili “La Flaca” Estefan. The show airs Monday through Friday from Miami, delivering the latest celebrity news, exclusive interviews, and behind-the-scenes gossip.

My work includes creating and adapting daily content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, ensuring it aligns with the tone and style of the show. I also handle weekly franchises like:

Looks de la Semana

Highlights the outfits worn by Lili Estefan or Clarissa Molina throughout the week. This series sparks strong engagement, as fans love to comment and share their favorite styles.

Backstage Moments

Candid behind-the-scenes clips with hosts and guests. Often used for branded content, including ViX promotions and events like the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa América USA.

Celebrity Interviews

One-on-one conversations with celebrities, often paired with fun segments like Las Rapiditas, Finish the Lyric, or creative recap videos from their visit.

Process

— Edited and published daily content immediately after the show aired, working under tight deadlines to maintain relevance and audience engagement.

— Coordinated with the Social Media Producer based in Miami to strategize content delivery and maximize engagement.

— Managed live streaming through Streamyard, remotely connecting with the studio team to handle unexpected technical issues in real-time.

— Handled live reports from correspondents in other cities, ensuring seamless streaming and content consistency.

Live Streaming Strategy

A key part of my role is managing live broadcasts on YouTube (@ElGordoyLaFlaca), which currently has over 275K subscribers.

A highlight was the “6ix9ine causó conmoción a su llegada a El Gordo y La Flaca” stream, where 6ix9ine and Lenier presented their new song and spoke with Raúl and Lili. Despite initial delays, the stream reached over 231K views, becoming one of the show’s most successful live events.

Another key event was the “Conferencia de prensa de los Hermanos Menéndez desde Los Ángeles,” where correspondent Tanya Charry covered the story live from Los Angeles. The stream attracted over 41K views and generated strong audience engagement.

Shaping the show’s digital presence with fast, fun, and fan-focused content.
